Half Moon Bay is situated in the beautiful village of Morar, 38 miles from Fort William along the picturesque `Road to the Isles`. During the drive you can see lochs, mountains, waterfalls, the sea, an occasional train and often some deer!
Local villages are Arisaig - 5 miles and Mallaig - less than 3 miles. The Road to the Isles also takes you past Glenfinnan, home of the famous Glenfinnan Monument and spectacular viaduct. Glenfinnan sits at the head of Loch Shiel and the monument was erected in 1815 to mark the place where Bonnie Prince Charlie raised his standard, at the beginning of the 1745 Jacobite Rising.
Most visitors arrive by car via Fort William but you can arrive by boat from Skye, or the train which stops just along the road ! If you are planning to fly, there are airports at Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness. It is quite straightforward to get a train from any of these airports.
